The translucent quality and bright fresh colour of watercolour make it a delightful medium for portraiture. This is a painting of my exuberant mother who sadly passed away almost 20 years ago. But she still smiles down at me every day in my studio. Her warmth is a constant joy to me and a reminder to make the most of each day the way that she did.
