Jordan Nov. 26-30 Wadi Rum, Dana, & the rose-red city of PETRA

There is nothing better for moving your work forward than to have a focused, uninterrupted time to draw and paint in an inspiring place.

And drawing a place is a delightful way to experience it and to really see it.

This year I plan to organise several trips to nearby (to Bahrain that is!) places in the Middle East. Plans include Musqat and Salalah in Oman, Esfahan in Iran, San'aa in Yemen, and another trip to Jordan.

Our first painting adventure was in November, 2006 in Jordan , and aside from the camel incident, it was a glorious trip...

This photograph is of me and my camel, Marwan, in front of the magnificent Treasury in Petra, Jordan. He dumped his saddle, AND ME, the previous day, hence the arm in a sling. If you'd like to learn more about that trip, please click :
